The Florida Society of Pain Management Providers is a Florida not for profit Corporation organized for the advancement of pain management within the exemptions provided by 26 U.S.C.A. IRS 501(c)(6) of the Internal Revenue Code. The Florida Society of Pain Management Providers was founded on three principles.
- To ensure Floridians access to affordable and effective pain management through the use of controlled medications.
- To ensure all physicians the right to treat chronic pain with controlled medications.
- To ensure that physicians and facilities operate in a safe and responsible manner.
The Florida Society of Pain Management Providers is the united voice of those that are involved in the treatment of chronic pain through the use of controlled medications. The society supports reasonable, fair and thoroughly vetted regulations that will limit the ability of “pill mills” to exist without restricting the public’s access to affordable pain management. The society’s belief is that any rules promulgated to regulate pain management must be done in a manner that ensures all physicians the right to treat chronic pain in a responsible / safe manner moreover without placing excessive and unfair restrictions on their patients. |
